Simi, a Nigerian alternative musician  paid a visit to the BBNaija housemates on Monday, after her sterling performance at the eviction show on Sunday. She received a grand welcome presentationby the housemates with a dance routine they earlier rehearsed from one of her song titled, "Pardonmypun".




The house mates took turns to share their dreams and aspirations at the end of their stay in the house with the siimi. However each and everyone of the contestant in the house also took turns for a selfie with the singer.
Moreover, ThinTallTony (TTT) has emerged Head of the House (HOH) for this week and won't be needing viewer’s vote this week to stay in the house due to the winners immunity.
I dont know about you,  buy twitter has totally changed the way i watch television. I'm a big sports fan and a loyal Arsenal supporter.  I go most home games at the emirates stadium but when they play away I'll read whats been said on Twitter and join in by tweeting and retweeting.  When you cant be together to watch the game,  Twitter offers the chance to be together even when you are on your own.  I'm a great believer that social media and television are extremely complementary.

The Twitter TV Ratings are already an amazing resource for broadcasters,  agencies and advertisers who are making use of offical new metric. The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Suleiman Kazaure, has admonished corps members to stop seeking relocation from the North to other states, saying the region is no longer volatile.

According to him, more than 50 per cent of corps members sent to the North usually seek relocation to other parts of the country.

Kazure claimed that the recent development has not encouraged unity in diversity which the scheme preaches and stands for.

Addressing the 2016 Batch B Stream 2 corps members at the Niger State Permanent Orientation Camp in Paiko on Friday, Kazaure urged the corps members to keep an open mind and give the North a chance.

Kazaure, who was represented by the Director of Information and Communications Technology, Mrs. Christy Uba, said, “Do not dwell on the negative things you have heard about the North; do not seek relocation.

“I want to assure you that the people of the North are peaceful and friendly. Keep an open mind and give it a chance and a trial. Your being posted here was not by mistake; stay here and make some impact on the people of the state.”

The DG then encouraged the corps members to share their challenges with state and local government coordinators and desist from taking their grievances to the social media.”

In her address, the Niger State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs. Theresa Arokoyo, lamented the security challenges being faced at the camp, while calling on the state government to give corps members a permanent orientation camp that will be more secure.

Kenya’s Abraham Kiptom has emerged the winner of the 2107 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon and will be going home with the cash prize of $50,000.

Kiptom won the 42.1km race for the second time after he won the maiden edition in a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes, 21 seconds.
While Rodah Tanuyi from Kenya is the first lady to cross the finish line.


Ilya Pam Nwanta is the first Nigerian to finish the race and was the second Nigerian last year, he will be going home with N1million, Nwanta crossed the finish line before Philip Sharabutu who was the second Nigerian to finish the race. Sharabutu had finished as the first Nigerian in the Lagos city marathon maiden edition last year.
Lagos city marathon winners -
1st Abraham Kiptum (Kenya),
2nd place Ronny Ronny Kipkoech (Kenya),
3rd place Regasa Bejiga (Ethiopia).
Kiptum will be going home with $50000 while Kipkoech and Bejiga will go home with $40000 and $30000 respectively.
The Nigerian Army has reached out to the victim who was assaulted by Corporal Bature Samuel  and Corporal Abdulazeez Usman.

Chijioke Raphael Uraku, the cripple who was tortured by two soldiers on Tuesday in Onitsha, Anambra State, was appealed to on Friday 10th of February 2017 where he met with the military authorities at the 302 Artillery Regiment/14 Field Engineer Regiment, Onitsha. 

However, both have been sentenced to reduction in rank; from Corporal to Private Soldiers and 21 days Imprisonment with Hard Labour (IHL) respectively,  which includes forfeiture of 21 days pay from the Federal Government of Nigeria.

In a circular to undergraduates students of the university,
the university management said, “indecent modes of exposure do not reflect the seriousness, dignity and character-moulding nature of the institution.”

The management warned undergraduates to desist from wearing tight outfits and those that expose sensitive parts of the body.
“It has been observed that some male and female students of the University of Lagos dress indecently on campus, even to lectures. Indecent dresses are either too tight, too short or expose sensitive parts of the body.
“Students should maintain a clean and well-cared for appearance in all settings on campus. Wearing of tight, strapless and revealing clothes whose length are above the knees are inappropriate,” the circular read.

Henceforth, male and female UNILAG students are not allowed to wear the following
i. All tight-fitting clothes including skirts, trousers and blouses
ii. All clothes, which reveal sensitive parts of the body such as the bust, chest, belly, upper arms and the buttocks. Example of such dresses are transparent clothing, spaghetti tops, tubes, skirts and dresses with slits above the knees fall in this category.
iii. Outfits such as knickers and mini-skirts, dresses, which are not at least, knee length.

iv. Inappropriate outfits e.g party-wear, beach wear and bathroom slippers should not be worn to lectures.
iv. Outfits such as T-shirts, skirts and jeans, which carry obscene and subliminal messages.
vi. Trousers such as hip-riders and low waist jeans.

For matriculation and graduation ceremonies, the management mandated students to wear academic gowns on a black or grey suit. Lecturers and administrators have also been empowered to exclude students from academic activities if they are not properly dressed.
